The Weekend Facelift

Have surgical advancements come so far that we can reverse the signs of age in one hour and recuperate in a single weekend? The answer is a resounding yes.

The weekend facelift is a term that we have developed to describe the advanced surgical techniques Dr. Hamrah utilizes to address the signs of age in the lower portion of the face, most notably the jowls, jawline, chin and neck.

The Most Remarkable Aspects of the Weekend Facelift
1. It’s youth restoring benefits
The weekend facelift reverses years of aging
2. It’s minimally invasive technique
The surgery takes approximately one hour to perform.
3. It’s quick recovery time
Swelling and bruising associated with the surgery are slight and most individuals return to normal activities within two day.

The Aging Face
Youthful radiance is associated with firm skin, resilient facial tissue, and well defined facial contours. As we enter our late thirties and early forties there is a noticeable slackening of facial contours particularly around the jawline, chin and neck. It is quite common for subtle and not so subtle jowls to appear along the lower face as collagen production slows down and facial fat dissipates and migrates from areas of the face where we do want it to areas where we don’t.
As these early signs of age appear the underlying muscles, fat and tissue have yet to degenerate which means the scaffolding of the face is in good working order and only its outer covering requires rejuvenation. The late thirties and early forties are a perfect time to address the signs of age because intervention at this stage of the aging process requires minimally invasive techniques and yields remarkable youth restoring results.

Who Achieves the Best Results?
Women and men in their late thirties and early forties as well as older individuals who demonstrate minimal signs of age such as those outlined above (slackening jawline and chin and loose jowls).

Can the Weekend Facelift Be Combined with Other Cosmetic Procedures?
Yes. A weekend facelift can be combined with injectables to relax lines and wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes; and replenish facial volume loss in the cheek area and nasolabial folds. Some individuals also select one or more laser or light based therapies to improve skin tone and texture. BBL Treatments and MicroLaserPeels are extremely popular for their ability to remove sun spots, age spots, broken capillaries and pigmentation irregularities while Skintyte Treatments and Contour TRL are sought for their skin tightening and wrinkle erasing abilities.

Combining cosmetic modalities and aesthetic services such as medical grade facials, peels and microdermabrasion treatments enhances results and helps to ward off future aging.

How is a Weekend Facelift Performed?
Because it is a minimally invasive procedure the weekend facelift requires only local anesthesia. Two very small and imperceptible incisions are made in front of your ear and behind your earlobe. Dr. Hamrah then tightens the skin in your neck and jawline, correcting the appearance of jowls and slackening skin. The results are better defined and more youthful contours. The entire procedure takes approximately one hour. Following treatment there is minimal swelling and bruising. Patients can return to work within 48 hours. Dr. Hamrah advises patients to avoid strenuous activity for seven days however a normal schedule can be resumed thereafter.
